The JoyNews Impact Makers Foundation evolved from the Impact Makers Awards, launched by JoyNews in 2023 to celebrate unsung heroes working tirelessly in their communities. After two successful award cycles, it became clear that these inspiring stories and community projects deserved year-round support. In 2025, the initiative transformed into a foundation dedicated to amplifying marginalised voices, championing social justice and empowering communities through storytelling and advocacy.
